It didn’t matter whether you were a developer, an agency, a technology company, or the media, there was something for everyone! The most successful and influential people in the eCommerce industry shared their experiences and presented the future of eCommerce.

Here are the top 7 insights that we could gather from this not-to-be missed event-

  • More focus on B2B with new releases in version 2.2 – Taking cognizance of the multi-billion dollar industry, Magento is pointing its barrels towards B2B market. The team is working on getting more robust modules for Magento 2 which are slated for a release with version 2.2 in Q317
  • Cloud platform in the offing – Magento is betting big on cloud and is looking to further its capabilities in this space. We heard murmurs of a cloud offering around community edition (CE) which gained more strength by significantly less number of cloud providers showing up for the show.
  • Comprehensive Business Intelligence reporting – Magento also unveiled Magento Business Intelligence, which is what they have renamed RJ Metrics. This is a reporting suite that combines Magento, Google Analytics, and other data sources to provide business performance data and dashboards
  • Drag & drop functionalities to woo more non-tech audience- Magento announced a UI based on Bluefoot acquisition which mostly will be coming out in 2.3 Bluefoot provides some drag and drop capabilities for merchants to create new pages
  • Improvised Extension Program – Magento is focusing on improving the quality of its Extensions Program and hence presented guidelines for submission on quality extensions on Magento Market place
  • More & meaningful features which help create new revenue streams – Magento unveiled new performance enhancements including Magento Social, Bluefoot CMS and new features specifically targeting the B2B ecommerce built into Magento 2s core. This will give brands and marketers the power to easily create Facebook and Pinterest shops, create landing pages and merchandising ecommerce shops as well as a host of B2B features including bulk ordering and request a quote features.
  • Harnessing the social media network– Realizing the potential social media has to offer for merchants, Magneto is making it easy for merchants to sync their product listings with social channels. This seamless integration will enable merchants to maintain consistent product catalogs on social networks.

2017-04-2011Overall, this was certainly one of the best conferences that we have experienced. Not only was it well organized and a great networking event, it was extremely fun. Thank you Magento Imagine for the wonderful memories and the opportunity to meet so many people!  We are hoping to see you again next year!
