About the job:
We are looking for a person who can be responsible for the architecture and technical design activities as assigned. The job requires to design architecture for various different components and validate tools, develop solutions for various components and recommend changes for various customers, responsible to participate and provide solutions in technology discussions in Pre-sales and/or during execution. It requires accommodating working during the customer’s time zone by providing some overlap. Travel, short-term as well as long-term to customer location may be necessary depending upon the business requirement, and need of the project.

Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Research on new technologies as needed and develop proofs-of-concept and perform trade-off analysis to find solutions.
- Participate in architectural meetings and analyze all technical requirements of BI applications.
- Adherence to the expected roles and responsibilities w.r.t ISMS and QMS standards.
- Adherence to the expected roles and responsibilities w.r.t ISMS and QMS standards.
Team Building:
- Nurture team members and be an enabler in their grooming both from technology as well as leadership perspective.
- Establish the developmental guidelines and ensure the team adheres to that
- Establish the right review mechanisms with the team allocated and carryout periodic review assessments of the developed solutions
Customer Management:
- Participate in client discussions during pre-sales stages, execution and post-production stages as required and helping them with technology decisions to be made during the course of time.
- Should be willing to drive the customer discussions for the projects as determined by the Manager.
Others: Travel to client location, both in India as well as overseas, for understanding client requirements, doing technical presentations and participating in pre-sales activities
Required Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in delivering business intelligence and Analytical solutions
- You should have good hands-on experience on Dimensional modeling for DWs.
- You must have worked with Reporting, visualization and Data Integration tools (Pentaho/Jasper/Talend/Tableau/Apache Spark/ Data pipeline)
- You should be well versed with using APIs and syndication feeds for Data Integration.
- You should be aware of the integrating BI applications with other primary applications being used by customers
- You should be aware of performance benchmarking and optimizations in different layers of the application
- You should be fluent in RDBMS and NoSQL concepts
- You should be aware of laying out the build and release management processes as required for the project.
- Should have experience in Client interfacing for technical discussions.
- Experience on BigData solutions will be a big plus.
Accountability: Adherence to the expected roles and responsibilities w.r.t ISMS and QMS standards

We believe that no single person can do everything on his own, and hence you will be supported by the top management in whatever aspects the support is required for if you display the sense of taking ownership. From technology perspective, we have experienced Architects who can step in to help you finalize and propose architecture and framework aspects of the project. We provide guidance on processes, if required, as we have a full-fledged process department. Any training in terms of technical or soft skills that you may need can also be imparted by our internal Learning and Development division. Finally, we have experienced HR who can help you on people management front.
Future roadmap for this role: We would like to plan that out with you when we reach that stage during our discussions.
Educational Qualifications, Certifications & Experience :
- You should be at least a graduate in any of the streams such as Computer Science, Information technology
- Ideal Experience Range: Ideally, you should have spent between 10 to 12 years in IT industry to have the first-hand experience of above-mentioned responsibilities, however, Sigma is open to considering bright persons with lesser experience.
