Born out of a real need to modernize Quality Assurance (QA) workflows, this internal project transformed into a full-fledged, AI-powered test case generation platform. The goal? Help software teams ditch the drag of manual test writing and shift gears into a future where QA runs on AI.

Project Brief

Sigma Infosolutions developed AccelTest, an AI-driven test case generation platform that streamlines QA workflows by converting ClickUp tickets and natural language inputs into structured test scenarios. With multi-tenant support, contextual intelligence, and seamless integration, AccelTest enhances coverage, speeds up testing cycles, and reduces QA overhead across teams.

Business Needs And Challenges

Like any pioneering road trip, the journey to build AccelTest wasn’t without speed bumps. Sigma faced four major terrain types:

Wildly Varied Inputs: ClickUp tickets were like notes scribbled on napkins—some detailed, others vague. Parsing them into clean, testable scenarios was like turning jazz into sheet music.
Shaky Embedding Precision: How do you teach AI to know that “login test” and “2FA validation” are different beasts? Semantic similarity wasn’t enough—contextual intelligence was the missing gear.

ClickUp’s API Roadblocks: ClickUp is powerful, but not always flexible. Its APIs had quirks—especially around subtasks and updates—which made automation more like solving a Rubik’s Cube blindfolded.
Multi-Tenant Mayhem: Each team (or tenant) had their own flavor—different documentation styles, BRDs, and standards. Building one-size-fits-all logic was off the table.

Solutions

Facing complexity head-on, the team engineered a smart, layered response—like tuning an engine for both power and precision.

Tackling Unstructured Inputs
- Introduced prompt normalization logic to tame freeform input into a clean format for Claude AI.
- Crafted fallback strategies that ensured meaningful output—even from minimal data.
Sharpening Embedding Intelligence
- Used SentenceTransformer, fine-tuned specifically for QA language.
- Combined titles and test steps in embeddings, giving Qdrant a deeper sense of context.

Cracking the ClickUp Puzzle
- Designed a two-pass task creation flow to work within API limits.
- Established a system of naming conventions and parent-child mappings to maintain structure.
- Integrated tenant-specific task templates to align with unique ClickUp configurations.
Customizing for Each Tenant
- Created separate Qdrant collections per tenant to avoid cross-contamination.
- Enabled direct document uploads (BRDs, transcripts, historical test cases) via UI—auto-tagged, chunked, and indexed for contextual retrieval.
