Project Brief

The client sought Sigma Infosolutions to integrate advanced business intelligence tools into their platform, enabling data-driven insights for smarter investor decisions. What started as a three-month engagement has evolved into a three-year partnership, with continuous enhancements in reporting and analytics—keeping them ahead in the competitive investment market.

Inaccessible Cumulative Data: The team struggled with gathering comprehensive insights from scattered data, making it difficult to offer actionable advice to investors.

Data Visualization and Reporting Dashboards

Activity Dashboard: This dashboard covers all user activities done by internal team members on the DV platform. This dashboard includes Tasks, Activities, Assignments, Review Assignments, and workflows-related information focusing on each as a separate report page.
ADV Dashboard: This report helps to show analytics from ADV data which can help highlight new managers, increase/decrease on RAUM, etc. This report highlights the overview of the information from ADV forms including the DRPs – Civil, Regulatory, and Criminal. We have a Filings report page that primarily focuses on the ADV filings.
Global Insights Report: This report displays aggregated data across all firms. This report holds high-level information on the projects and platform features. Some of the metrics this report highlights are projects, users, teams, documents, templates, etc. This report is classified into the following report pages:
– Project Insights
– Requestor Insights
– Responder Insights
– Modules usage
– Location Insights
Benchmarking Report: Their benchmarking module does not support Date, Customize grid/table, Attachment, AUM, TR, Identifier, Min-Max, and Numeric decimal response types. Though responses are recorded for these response types, the charts are not available on the platform for these. So the objective is to build a PBI report to support and visualize these response types and also allow end users to slice and dice the data based on filters.

Diligence Report: This report provides the ability to gather quick insights on projects, templates, and entity-related attributes.
– Project Insights
This report page covers all project-related information and helps to keep track of all diligence processes. It gives info on project statuses, types, completion rates, project ratings, number of flags, etc. Some of the example questions that this report page answers are:
– ‘How many projects has the firm sent but not started yet?’
– ‘When was the last time the firm had sent diligence to this Responder Firm?’
– ‘Responder firms with responses which had received more flags’
– Template Insights
This report highlights the template (used by the questionnaire/project) information. This page provides insights on attributes related to templates such as # of questions based on type (numerical, boolean, checkbox, paragraph, etc). This page also tracks question follow-ups and template usage. This report also holds information on unanswered questions and questions marked as N/A.
– Entity Insights
This dashboard is to visualize the important attributes of entities which will help in overall entity management, organizing and tracking entity statuses, initiating and scheduling diligences, resource planning and ownership for different groups of entities, etc. It covers attributes like relationship status, owner, parent firm, touchpoints, recommendations, etc. This report also focuses on entities’ relation to custom fields and tags as well.
